"Cute as a button"

A couple weekends ago I had the privilege of attending the most adorable baby shower, ever! Crazy thing, it just so happened to be for us! I am so extremely blessed to have amazing, supportive, loyal and caring friends.

Stefanie went above and beyond. She had a vision and she ran with it. As you know Stefanie was battling cancer, she underwent a stem cell transplant at Standford and during this time she started planing the special day, she said it gave her something positive to focus on. Shes truly amazing!

This shower was everything I dreamed of and SOOO much more. I am extremely grateful. Reni did an amazing job with the games, several new ones that I had never heard of or played! The girls sent me upstairs when they got here and completely transformed my house into a dainty, shabby chic, "cute as a button' atmosphere.

The food was divine!
The company was cherished!
The decor was adorable!
The gifts are very much appreciated!
and
The memories are everlasting!

Update: Weeks 30-37!

Trying to play catch up on the last 7 weeks! I’m going to skip my weekly updates, post a few random belly shots and just pick up with week 37 (my current week). I always have the best intentions to blog but life gets in the way sometimes. The older Marcus gets and the closer it gets to baby girls arrival things just get more busy and chaotic.

Now on to Week 37!

37 weeks!
This was at my appointment today.

- How far along? 37 weeks.

- How big is baby? The size of a “winter melon”.

- Total weight gain/loss? Up 14lbs. total! Amazing!

- Maternity clothes? Yes, of course!

- Gender? GIRL!

- Movement? She’s starting to slow down a bit, I do enjoy watching my stomach ripple and wave though.

- Sleep? As good as it can be considering I’m this late in the game.

- Cravings/aversions? Nothing really.

- Symptoms? Nauseous the last couple days, Hip/lower back pain.

- Things that happened this week? My first week of Maternity leave so lots of nesting and resting. Had my check up today. Baby girl is head down, she’s low but I’m not yet dilating. Blood pressure was elevated (not surprised) but everything else checked out great!

- The differences between my pregnancies: The list continues to grow.

For fun, here's a side by side of big brother and little sister:

Mommy time!

With baby girl set to arrive in a few short weeks I took advantage of a beautiful Saturday morning and afternoon and headed down to Vacaville for a mini mommy makeover and some girl time with my fave, Stefanie!

We started the day off with coffee and shopping; Ulta, HomeGoods and Kirklands! After all that shopping we worked up an appetite so we enjoyed some tasty Mexican food and headed to Stefanie's shop after for my mini mommy makeover.

I've never been disappointed with Stefanie's work, shes truly and magician beautician! We did a ombre, layered around my face and cut BANGS!

I love it!

Excuse my no make up I only got 4 hours of sleep face.

Baby girl!!

To celebrate my 27th birthday we went and saw Billie at The Baby Connection once again for a sneak peak of our baby girl. Billie said she was nestled pretty low in my pelvis and her cord was in the way so unfortunately she wasn't able to capture the photos she wanted. She sent us out for a 15 minute walk in hopes that would get baby moving and maybe the cord placement would change but no such luck. Billie scheduled us for a repeat appointment two weeks later.

Two weeks later we go back and she is even lower in the pelvis and refused to move her arm out of the way. She was busy suckling on her wrist and fingers. Billie got the best shots she could. We love them! We are so excited to meet our baby girl!
