August 24th

Today my "little baby" turned two! I don't understand how this is even possible, he was just born yesterday and then I blinked!

To start the morning off we decided to have a celebratory breakfast, we went to the doughnut shop and allowed Marcus to pick out his very first doughnut.

Chocolate with rainbow sprinkles, for the win!

He honestly wasn't a huge fan, he nibbled off the top a bit and this tossed it on the floor. He enjoyed his apple slices more that were to follow.

Chris and I spent the morning prepping for the party while Marcus took an early nap.

His theme was "under construction" he is our one man wrecking crew so we figured it was fitting.

I have been so sick with the first trimester that I just didn't have the energy to host a huge party this year, it was a small gathering with family, my best friend Stefanie and her sweet girls, Olivia and Eva we consider the Pace girls family anyhow.

Olivia and Marcus are only 3 weeks apart, here's a couple super cute photos of them over the last two years:

Two years sure did fly, happy 2nd birthday our little love and Olivia too!

Love,

A date day/night to remember!

Every opportunity we can Chris and I will go on a "date", lunch, dinner, retail therapy even Costco, yes Costco! We are very fortunate to have my mom, she loves spending time with Marcus and he absolutely adores her. We try to have alone time every other week even if its just a couple hours to run necessary errands.

Well a few days ago we had a very exciting date day and evening. The day started out with my first prenatal appointment and ultra sound. My OB wasn't available so I saw a fabulous midwife. The appointment was short and sweet.

After my appointment we had lunch and hit the road for Oakland for my first professional football game. The Oakland Raiders (his fave) & The Dallas Cowboys (my fave). What a fun experience, I just had to remind myself to take it easy, no yelling and jumping up and down when my boys were running the ball (easier said than done!).

We had such a blast! Traffic was horrible on the way home, I-80 was down to ONE lane! What should have been a 2 hour drive turned into a 5 hour drive! We pulled over and picked up some strawberry milkshakes to make for a more enjoyable drive.

Love,
Katie
