Maternity Photos

Last week I posted a sneak peek from my Maternity session with my talented friend Kathleen, and today I'm SO excited to be able to post several of our favorites. Kathleen did an amazing job, she knows how uncomfortable I currently am in my skin and you would never guess that was the case by looking at these photos. Kathleen, again I can't thank you enough! We love them!

36 Weeks!

This is a sneak peek at some maternity photos my friend Kathleen snapped of me a few days ago. I was really hesitant to have photos taken only because I'm so unhappy with the weight I have put on during my pregnancy. I must admit, I'm SO happy that Kathleen was able to talk me into doing this, I absolutely love them! Thanks Kathleen!!

Stay tuned for more photos.

Loving my baby bump at 36 weeks!

35 Weeks!

35 weeks and the only word I can use to describe this point in my pregnancy is….exhausted! I feel like I cant get enough sleep and Ive been going days at a time without even leaving the house, people who know me know how stir crazy I get I'm not use to being home so often but I just don't have the energy to do anything but "nest" and rest.

The nursery

His room is currently at a stand still, until I get back to work. We still have several ideas but would rather pay the bills then decorate the room. The important thing is that we have all the necessities, he will be in our room with us for the first several months anyways so we set a goal to have his room done by December. Just figured I would post some photos of the progress we have made so far.

M-A-R-C-U-S

Chris and I spent his two days off this week working on the nursery, and at last its really coming together! I have seen many examples of people taking wooden letters and hanging them over the babies crib spelling out their name, I’ve always thought this was such a cute idea so we headed to Michael's to pick up the necessary items. We really enjoyed working on this project together, I absolutely adore how involved Chris was and what a great job he did. I’m so lucky to have such an amazing husband, he is going to be such a great dad! Here are some photos from our project.

Our blank canvas

Step 1 complete

Chris did all the animal print letters, I did the green letters, the ribbon and the bows

Our final product! We are very proud, like our cream yellow walls? We painted a while back, sure is a nice change from the flat/chalky white before.

34 Weeks!

With all the lower back/hip pain and pelvic pressure I’ve been having I thought for sure I would be told I was at least 1-2cm dilated today at my 35 week appointment. Nope, cervix is closed but baby boy has dropped so that’s why I’m experiencing so much discomfort. 5 weeks until our due date, I of course wouldn’t have a problem with him coming in 2-3 weeks! We want to meet our baby boy SO bad. This is my 34 week photo, I just turned 35 weeks today so I'll be sure to snap my updated photo in the next couple days.

34wks!

A baby shower fit for a King....

King of the Jungle that is!

Our baby shower was held last Saturday, Chris and I still feel so overwhelmed from the generosity we were shown from our family and friends. Its your love and support that we are so incredibly thankful for. My good friend Kathleen is getting her photography business up and running and offered to take photos at the shower, what a great job she did! Please watch and enjoy the slide show below.

33 Weeks!

33 weeks and going strong (I'm actually 34 weeks, I'm just now getting around to posting this). I'm noticing my energy level taking a dive, I feel as if I could sleep 24/7, just walking up the stairs takes my breath away and instead of making restroom trips every 30 minutes to an hour its now more like every 15 minutes. I still have no tolerance for the heat and I'm sure that will only get worse the further I am into this pregnancy.

I just can't wait to meet our little boy!
