28 Weeks! (7 months)

Well here we are, yet another month down! I must admit I'm starting to feel the itch to have this little boy and take charge of my body again. This week our little guy gave us a scare (the first, but wont be the last) he decided not to move for a little over a day, and mom was having some abnormal issues so we called labor/delivery at Kaiser and were told that our symptoms could be signs of preterm labor so to get our butts to the hospital! Marcus and I spent a little over 5 hours at the hospital, he was monitored, they did a stress test and took all my vitals and did some lab work. Thankfully it was not preterm labor, I was not dilated and I was not having any contractions (minus braxton hicks). God is good, our little guy is healthy and so am I!

This is proof that I can no longer see my feet! This is now my view, all belly!

This is my its Sunday and I'm nesting, resting and crafting look! No make up and a super comfy dress.

27 Weeks!

We made it, to the third trimester that is! This week gave me a run for my money. Ive been suffering from allergies, I had a student attempt to jump over the back of my chair at work (while I was sitting in it) he tripped and ended up landing on my back and the force from him doing so pushed me and Marcus into the desk we were sitting at. We are both okay but I had to file a Workman's comp claim and I'm not really looking forward to the process ahead. This week did have its exciting moments though! Marcus has been extremely active and for the first time Sunday night Chris was able to feel him kick not once but twice!

Also, I'm so excited to announce that this week two more blessings came into the world. Congratulations to my Cousin Trevor and his wife Heidi on their beautiful baby girl Hallie and also a big congratulations to our dear friends Rob and Sam on their handsome little boy Vince!

Here is the baby bump 27 weeks in!

Finally We'll Meet

I found this online and fell in love with it, had to share!

I love you little baby

You're such a part of me.

Can't wait to hold you in my arms

And hug you tenderly.

No matter what you look like

You're beautiful, my love.

A precious gift bequeathed to me

From heaven far above.

Each time I feel you moving

My heart is filled with joy

To think that very soon I'll hold

My little girl or boy.

I'm counting every moment

Til you're mine at last, my sweet.

It won't be long until your birth

Then finally we'll meet.

26 Weeks!

Another week down! Its been a long week, Ive been coming home everyday from work and taking a nap. The heat has been killing me, icing on the cake our air conditioner went out today leaving our house at a warm 80 degrees! Hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow. I had a doctors appointment on Monday, Marcus's heart rate was in the 140's (right where it should be) I'm measuring at 25cm/wks so I'm right on track there and lastly I had my glucose test and the results were perfect. Momma and little man are doing well.

April 30th

So Saturday marked 6 months of wedded bliss for us. Chris had a rough week at work and I just really wanted to do something a little special for him. Originally we had talked about going out to a steakhouse for dinner but in the interest of saving money and just having an intimate dinner I decided we would have our own little steakhouse here at home! I picked up a very delicious pre marinated tri-tip and grilled that up as well as some fresh zucchini and baked potatoes! On the side I also made a garden salad with mouth watering vine ripe tomatoes and avocados! We washed this yummy dinner down with the bottle of sparkling cider (Marcus is far to young for a glass of champagne..He he). Lastly for dessert I made some fabulous chocolate covered strawberries, needless to say Chris was very surprised when he walked in the door that night and saw the table set and our dinner served.
