Well my contractions are currently 15-20 minutes apart. The intensity of them is up and down, most are uncomfortable but I can tolerate them and a handful are extremely sharp/painful. Last night we made a little trip to labor and delivery because I had an awful headache, while I was hooked up to the monitors I was having some decent contractions but it wasn’t until after my cervical check that my contractions really picked up and a few had even spiked off the chart. The nurse had asked how they felt and when I told her they were a just a little uncomfortable she said that's great for me because some women come in with contractions registering much like mine and they are in so much pain and are unable to tolerate them.
Anyways the doctor last night sent us home after a few hours of monitoring and said to just labor at home until my contractions are 3-5 minutes apart or my water breaks. Today Chris and I went and walked (I more like waddled) Ikea, had a super yummy/spicy Chipotle lunch and took bumpy Winding Way home. I was able to get a decent nap in and rest between contractions. Tomorrow is August 8th (8/8), Chris and I have our fingers crossed that our little guy finally decides to come since 8 is our lucky number and all. We are 4 days from our due date and very much ready for our little man to be here!
